# Workflow patterns

> Three practical arrangements for support, confirmed actions, and interviews.

## Support triage

**Start → Collect information → Classify → relevant conversation → End**

Collect an issue and order number. Pass the issue to **Classify** with labels such as `billing`, `delivery`, and `other`. Give each label a destination. Include an `other` category for requests outside the defined cases.

Use **Branch** instead when the category is already a structured input and only needs comparison.

## A confirmed external action

**Collect information → Authenticate → Confirm action → Call MCP tool → Say / Message → End**

Use this for an action such as updating a delivery preference:

* Bind the intended action's exact inputs to both the confirmation and tool steps.
* Connect `authenticated` to the protected path and `denied` to a suitable explanation or end.
* Route `confirmed` to the paired tool and `rejected` away from the action.
* Route tool `success` to a result message. Handle `unknown` with a status check or review before another attempt.

Use **Insert matching confirmation** on a write tool to create the paired confirmation. Authentication tools and write tools must be available and approved for your organization.

## Interview and feedback

Start from **Interview and grading**:

**Conversation goal → Say / Message → Run task agent → Conversation goal → End**

Configure the interview goal with your questions and completion criteria. Bind its **Transcript** to the assessment agent, define a required `summary` output, and pass that summary to the feedback conversation and final output.

Keep evaluation grounded in supplied answers. Identify unasked topics instead of inventing evidence. The template routes the interview's `timeout` to assessment so a time-limited interview can still receive feedback; inspect that partial transcript in testing.
